GARY HANNAH

President, CEO, Member of the Board of Directors

Gary Hannah is currently CEO of Pronexus, a company recognized as an innovator in interactive voice response (IVR), speech technology and visual IVR software. Gary took over as CEO from the company’s founder in 2000 and converted the company from an exclusive R&D focus to a sales and marketing-driven firm. Gary orchestrated an employee-based buyout from Active Voice in 2001 making Pronexus a private 100% Canadian majority employee-owned company. Most recently, Gary led Pronexus (founded in 1994) in expanding the company’s flagship product, VBVoice™, to support dual-channel developing.

In addition to his leadership of Pronexus, Gary is a former member of the Almonte General Hospital Board of Directors, serving on the Nomination and Governance Committee. Gary is the past Chairman of OCRI (now Invest Ottawa), past Chair of Ottawa Global Marketing (OGM) (now Invest Ottawa) and past member of the Board of Directors, Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI).

Active in the field of computers and service for 35+ years, Gary has specialized in high technology innovative solutions in cross vertical markets, such as healthcare, higher education and financial and manufacturing business solutions. His successes range from establishing unique marketing and distribution strategies to building innovative software solutions to address emerging markets, coupled with extensive channel experience.

Prior to leading Pronexus, Gary was President and CEO of Internet start-up, ThinWeb Technologies. In this role, Gary laid the framework in sales and marketing to enable ThinWeb to pursue an IPO in the U.S. He was also a member of the board for ThinWeb and NoTime Wireless. Before joining ThinWeb, Gary was Vice President at JetForm Corporation (now Adobe Systems) in marketing, sales and services, where he was responsible for the Global Partner Program that included OEMs, VARs and distributors worldwide, client relations and channel sales.

Preceding ThinWeb, Gary was President and founder of The Alliance Network Inc., a North American computer services and distribution company, before being sold to GE Capital. Prior to Alliance Network, Gary was Director and General Manager of Crowntek Business Centers (CBCI), where he was part of the executive management team.

In addition to many years of executive management experience, Gary was the lead executive on two mergers, JetForm-Delrina and GE Capital-CBCI and is a recipient of the Ottawa Business Journal’s 2002 Forty under 40. Gary enjoys spending time at the cottage and is the past Vice President, Environment for the Lake Sinclair Association where his cottage is located.

VALENTIN DOROGA

Chief Architect

Valentin Doroga moved to Ottawa in 1997 and joined Pronexus. He has been part of toolkit R&D and acted as team leader from 1999, playing a key role in the design and implementation of numerous new features of Pronexus’ products. He has been in the position of chief architect since 2007, directing technology for product development. Previously, Valentin worked for a software company that specialized in process control. There he led a team responsible for a project involving data acquisition, transmission and centralized processing to optimize natural gas transmission stations. Valentin holds a degree in mathematics and computer Science from Cluj,Romania. In 2017 Valentin celebrated 20 years with Pronexus.
